Our Team

SHEER SHEA was founded in late 2014 by Courtney Black, Mick Donnelly and Dan & Jacqui Boston.  The perfect alignment formed between the two couples; all with diverse and complimentary backgrounds and a shared passion in natural products to assist in healing and helping to transform the lives of others.

Courtney Black & Mick Donnelly

Courtney and Mick met in early 2009 and share a passion for giving back to those less fortunate. Over the years they discussed going into business. During a 2 week safari trip across Uganda in September 2014 they discovered a unique product which would allow them to realise their business and charitable goals.

Courtney's background includes over 15 years business experience in Canada and Australia, working across various business disciplines including marketing, events, communications and business development. In 2003, Courtney joined Cross Cultural Solutions, a non-profit organisation, and traveled to Costa Rica as a volunteer working with and teaching underprivileged children in day care centres and orphanages across the country.

Mick began his career as a pilot at age 18 and spent many years working for Northern Territory Aerial Medial Services. He also flew for two years in Botswana, southern Africa, and is now working with a major Australian Airline as a senior Check Captain. Like Courtney, Mick is driven to give back to underprivileged communities and by working with a safe, natural product.  The timing couldn't have been better as they had their first child together in February 2016 and have been using the oil and butter on their son for over 4 years.

Dan & Jacqueline Boston

Dan and Jacqui met in Brisbane on Australia day 2000 and were immediately inseparable. Shortly after they met they moved to Melbourne where Dan continued to build his career in IT, culminating in a stint with IBM.

In 2007 the two married in Uganda - Jacqui’s home country - and they now have two beautiful children, Isiah and Ezekiel. In 2010 Dan was at the peak of his career, and yet felt unfulfilled. As a result they made the bold move to pack up the family and move to Uganda to pursue Dan's dream: to make a difference in the lives of young people.

Dan and Jacqui spent the next 5 years creating one of Africa’s most effective youth charity programs. The R.A.I.S.E program tackles youth unemployment by teaching young people 21st Century skills that make them either more employable, or inspires them to become job creators in their own right.

It was during this time that Dan and Jacqui discovered the amazing healing powers of Shea Nilotica, a rich shea that has unparalleled therapeutic and moisturising benefits on the skin. So when Dan & Jacqui met with Courtney & Mick in Uganda, they recognised their complimentary backgrounds and shared passion for natural products and saw an opportunity to transform the lives of others.
